Overlord Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary With a New Ainz Ooal Gown Collectible Figure

The official product description for the Overlord Ainz Ooal Gown (10th Anniversary so-bin Ver.) Figure from studio Union Creative reads, “The absolute ruler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick, Ainz Ooal Gown, has been faithfully recreated, capturing all the grandeur and imposing aura of the original illustration. Every detail has been meticulously sculpted, from the flowing silhouette of his iconic robes and the ominous yet mystical paintwork to the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown itself. Dynamic effect parts at his feet further enhance his majestic, kingly presence.”

“Even in stillness, his overwhelming aura dominates everything around him, embodying none other than the Supreme Being himself.” The description continues, “This exceptional collectible perfectly encapsulates the appeal of the commemorative illustration celebrating Overlord‘s 10th anniversary, making it an essential piece for every fan to treasure and enjoy.”

The Overlord Ainz Ooal Gown (10th Anniversary so-bin Ver.) Figure from Union Creative stands at roughly 34 centimeters (13.4 inches) tall, and is constructed of ABS and PVC plastics. Based on the 2010 novel series by author Kugane Maruyama, which ran from 2010 to 2012 before shifting to its current, ongoing light novel format, the Overlord anime series by studio Madhouse premiered in 2025, much to the delight of audiences. The hit isekai series follows gamer Suzuki Satoru, better known by his in-game handle Momonga, who is suddenly dragged into the world of his favorite MMORPG, YGGDRASIL, when he stays online in order to watch the title’s servers go offline.

Soon enough, Momonga is setting out on an epic journey to hunt down any other real people who may have been trapped in the game along with him, not to mention a way of returning home. In the hopes of drawing attention from his former guild members, Momonga takes on the name of their group, Ainz Ooal Gown, all before becoming one of the most iconic figures in the fantastical world he has been dragged into.

While the Overlord anime series effectively came to a close with the release of Season 4 in 2022, fans received an animated feature film follow-up in 2024, titled Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom. Although the film didn’t quite make up for the apparent lack of movement in Season 5 of the anime, it was hailed as a resounding success by audiences, garnering a 7.6/10 approval rating on the Internet Movie Database (IMDb), averaged across more than 19,000 reviews.

Overlord is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
