Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Is Releasing on Netflix Worldwide

Netflix is about to get the latest entry in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime saga, and its arrival is now only weeks away for fans globally.

As noted by a recent post from the official Netflix Anime X (formerly Twitter) account, the streaming titan is about to pick up Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen, subtitled The Culling Game Part 1, as the next addition to its ever-expanding media library. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is currently slated to be available for streaming worldwide on Netflix on July 22, 2026.

JJK Season 3 was previously available to stream exclusively on Crunchyroll for international viewers, with Netflix only gaining the rights to Season 2 worldwide on May 1, 2026.

Netflix Confirms Worldwide Streaming Release Date for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3

Based on Gege Akutami’s 2018 manga of the same name, the Jujutsu Kaisen anime from studio MAPPA premiered in 2020, and quickly established a fervent fan base to call its own even for those who had never read the manga. Jujutsu Kaisen largely revolves around Yuji Itadori, a young man whose entire life is upended when he becomes the central figure in an ancient battle against the forces of evil.

The official logline for Jujutsu Kaisen from anime streaming giant Crunchyroll reads, “Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, though he lives a completely ordinary high school life. One day, to save a classmate who has been attacked by curses, he eats the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul.”

The logline continues, “From then on, he shares one body with Ryomen Sukuna. Guided by the most powerful of sorcerers, Satoru Gojo, Itadori is admitted to Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an organization that fights the curses… and thus begins the heroic tale of a boy who became a curse to exorcise a curse, a life from which he could never turn back.”

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 premiered in 2026, coming nearly two years after the series’ Season 2 finale. Season 3 served as a partial adaptation of the infamous “Culling Game” story arc from the original manga, which focuses on the battle against the ancient, evil sorcerer Kenjaku, who is responsible for the eponymous Culling Game, not to mention the imprisonment of Gojo within the dreaded Prison Realm.

In March, it was reported that Jujutsu Kaisen — The Culling Game: Part 2 was officially in production at MAPPA. A post from the official Jujutsu Kaisen X page at the time teased things to come in Season 4, noting, “The fate of Yuji and his team as they move to resolve the games continues into Season 4 ‘Death Painting Wander Part 2.’ Please stay tuned for updates.”

Just a few months later, fans got their first look at Jujutsu Kaisen — The Culling Game: Part 2 courtesy of a minute-long teaser trailer featuring explosive and overtly ominous scenes from upcoming episodes of the series. Among these is a shot of Kenjaku himself, who promises to bring the Culling Game to an end.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will be available for streaming worldwide on Netflix beginning July 22.
