As seen on the official Pokémon Center online storefront, a new line of merchandise for the Pokémon Trading Card Game has just been released, and it might be the most stunning that fans have seen in a long time. The Mewtwo & Mew DNA line of products offers Pokémon Trading Card Game players just about everything they could possibly need to take to any given event or local game store apart from a deck itself. Better yet, the new line comes right alongside the tenth anniversary of Pokémon Go, giving dedicated multi-platform players yet another way to celebrate their favorite franchise.

The Mewtwo & Mew DNA line for the Pokémon Trading Card Game features an all new design showcasing the two namesake Pokémon separated by only their shared DNA. Gamers can now get their very own Mewtwo & Mew DNA Premium Playmat, which features a stitched edge and immediately eye-catching color scheme.

This same design is found on the line’s premium single and double deck boxes, which are embossed with the images of Mewtwo and Mew on their sides, with the full illustration lining the inside. There is also the Pokémon TCG: Mewtwo & Mew DNA Premium Zip Binder, which holds 360 cards across 20 double-sided nine-pocket pages. Finally, the line is rounded out with a set of Mewtwo & Mew DNA card sleeves, available in packs of 65.

Mew and Mewtwo have been counted among the most iconic Pokémon of the entire franchise since they were introduced in the classic Pokémon Red & Blue, although the pair had wildly different paths towards becoming household names. While Mewtwo’s creation and existence were key aspects of the original Pokémon games, with the Pokémon becoming available for capture after completing the game, Mew was almost more of a myth than reality for many players for years.

During the first few years after the release of Pokémon Red & Blue, Mew was only available via official in-person Pokémon events or by exploiting one of a number of glitches. With the release of Pokémon: The First Movie in 1998, Mew and Mewtwo were both catapulted to household name status, and have since gone on to play key roles in a variety of Pokémon storylines and titles.

Currently, Pokémon fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the tenth generation of mainline games next year with the arrival of Pokémon Winds & Waves. Even more exciting, these supposed leaks point towards a new iteration of the Synchro Machine from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, one which will allow players to effectively take control of any given Pokémon in their party, who they can then control while pulling their avatar and Rotom Scooter behind.
