The jury was out on how successful Hogwarts Legacy would be before launch. Now we know that it’s become one of the most successful games of all time, and three years later, people are still playing it before the sequel has even been announced. That’s a staying power many AAA titles don’t have, especially since players are still finding Easter eggs, secrets, and references.
This new bit of content is something else entirely, and the community could never have anticipated just how much of an impact it would have. Thanks to the new release, World Weaver, the way that fans will interact with Hogwarts Legacy is going to change quite a bit.
If you’re still playing Hogwarts Legacy or want to jump back in, make sure you grab the World Weaver mod, which is available now, and is still in active development. You’ll be able to transform the world to your liking with creation tools, and place objects throughout the game practically anywhere you like.
Here’s what the mod is going for, according to its creator: “Welcome to World Weaver. This mod allows you to completely change the world of Hogwarts Legacy to look how you want it to look. Almost every object in Hogwarts Legacy is yours to place. Along with placing new objects, you can edit the existing map to your liking. The best part is that everything saves! Want to build a castle in the mountains? You can! Want to make a nice scene to take some pictures with your favorite character? Go for it! Want to make a secret passage hideout in the walls of Hogwarts? Remove a wall and build it! Within the Mod Menu, there is a list of tutorials and helpful tips on how to use this mod, as it can be overwhelming.”
With the mod installed, all you need to do is press F1 to bring up the creation tools, and you’re off to the races.
Future update plans for the World Weaver Hogwarts Legacy mod include triggerable objects, which allow players to craft their own dungeon puzzles. In short, you’ll be able to link a wall to open a passage after a spell is cast on it, opening up even more possibilities for custom content. More objects are planned in the future, as well as custom dungeons and NPC/enemy spawning capabilities.
It’s incredibly ambitious, but what’s already on display in Hogwarts Legacy now is very impressive. It can only grow over time, and once mechanical enhancements are available and every object can be used, fans will craft entire games out of this tool.
