The wait is finally over for Demon Slayer fans. The streaming release date for Infinity Castle was finally revealed at Anime Expo 2026, and many fans won’t need a Crunchyroll subscription to watch the long-awaited film.
Almost one year since its theatrical release in Japan, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle will finally be available to stream on Crunchyroll worldwide on July 28, 2026, at 8 a.m. PT. This release date is one day ahead of what Prime Video Canada reported in late June, before quickly deleting the listing.
However, Infinity Castle will also be available to stream on Netflix across Asia on the same date, except in Japan, Mainland China and India, as revealed on the streaming platform’s official Netflix Anime post on X (formerly Twitter).
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Streaming Release Date Finally Revealed at Anime Expo 2026
Per a press release from Crunchyroll, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will be available to stream on the platform with original Japanese audio and English subs, as well as the English dub that played in U.S. theaters last year. Crunchyroll finally revealed the film’s long-awaited streaming release date at the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Celebration panel at Anime Expo 2026, currently taking place in Los Angeles, California.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle is part one of a three-part film trilogy that officially concludes the anime series, which premiered on Sept. 28, 2019. It’s based on the manga’s final storyline, written and illustrated by series creator Koyoharu Gotouge.
“Tanjiro Kamado – a boy who joined an organization dedicated to hunting down demons called the Demon Slayer Corps after his younger sister Nezuko was turned into a demon,” Crunchyroll’s official description for the series reads. “While growing stronger and deepening his friendships and bonds with fellow corps members, Tanjiro has battled many demons with his comrades – Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira.”
“Along the way, his journey has led him to fight alongside the Demon Slayer Corps’ highest-ranking swordsmen, the Hashira, including Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku aboard the Mugen Train, Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui within the Entertainment District, as well as Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji at the Swordsmith Village.”
“As the Demon Slayer Corps members and Hashira engage in a group strength training program, the Hashira Training, in preparation for the forthcoming battle against the demons, Muzan Kibutsuji appears at the Ubuyashiki Mansion. With the head of the Demon Corps in danger, Tanjiro and the Hashira rush to the headquarters but are plunged into a deep descent to a mysterious space by the hands of Muzan Kibutsuji.”
“The destination where Tanjiro and the Demon Slayer Corps have fallen is the demons’ stronghold – the Infinity Castle. And so, the battleground is set as the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons ignites.”
Currently, the theatrical release date for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 has not yet been officially announced. However, rumors and speculation suggest a 2027 release date at the earliest. In addition to Demon Slayer, anime studio Ufotable is also producing an anime adaptation of the popular open-world gacha game, Genshin Impact.
The Demon Slayer anime TV series, films and specials are available on multiple streaming services, such as Netflix, Crunchyroll and Hulu/Disney+. All chapters of the Demon Slayer manga can be read digitally via the Viz Media and Manga Plus apps.
In addition to Infinity Castle’s streaming release date, Anime Expo 2026 revealed a new Solo Leveling anime movie, along with exciting new limited-edition projects, such as a premium Hololive collection starring Ninomae Ina’nis.
