Black Clover was once a very popular story, serializing in the same magazine that hosts stories like One Piece, Naruto, Jujutsu Kaisen, and others, but because of repeated breaks stemming from the creator’s health issues, it saw a plethora of hiatuses, leading to the story taking a huge hit.

This story was created by Japanese mangaka Yuki Tabata, and while it had a good run in the magazine, the serialization was moved to the seasonal magazine Jump GIGA on December 25, 2023, due to the author’s inability to keep up with a weekly schedule. This meant that Black Clover would only release a few chapters a year, and that slowed down serialization drastically. With all that being said, on April 30, 2026, Tabata finally concluded the story with chapter 392. This was a huge moment for the manga, and it opened up the gate for the anime to finally finish the story in its own medium.
