Transformers Computron Gets 1 Step Closer With New Scattershot Prototype Reveal

The year 2026 has seen multiple Transformers toys revealed for a latter-day Generation 1 Combiner team. Now, fans have their first look at another member of this hi-tech and futuristic group of Autobots, who are one “limb” closer to completion.

MS-B63 ENIAC-No.4 is another Technobot action figure from Magic Square Toys, with this one based on Scattershot. The fourth Technobot from the company, he’s the penultimate of the bunch, with his new toy faithfully recreating the classic design. While still just in the prototype stage, it inches one character closer to allowing fans to rebuild the smartest Autobot Combiner of them all.

Decepticons Will Scatter in the Wake of the Newest Transformers Technobot Toy

Magic Square Toys’ MS-B63 ENIAC-No.4 is a new figure for Generation 1 Scattershot, who was a member of the classic Technobot team. This group’s gimmick was that they were all incredibly intelligent while having futuristic Cybertronian alternate modes. This made them the perfect enemies of the bestial Terrorcons, who all turned into vicious monsters.

Scattershot is the leader of the group, and despite their more intellectual pursuits, he’s usually portrayed in the corresponding fiction as being somewhat trigger-happy and ready for battle. As in Generation 1, he wields a blaster as a weapon, with this also able to be deployed in his alternate modes.

As opposed to his subordinates, Scattershot is actually a triple-changer, even if he’s most known for one alt-mode. Scattershot can transform into a Cybertron jet, with this vehicle mode diverging greatly from the appearances of the Cybertronian “tetrajet” Seekers or Decepticons such as Cyclonus. This is a manifestation of the “space age” aesthetic of the Technobots, which truly brings their gimmick to life.

As with the original toy, Scattershot can also transform into a rocket launcher form, giving him even more versatility on the battlefield. As shown in the initial images for the prototype that were shared on the Magic Square Toys Weibo account, he once again forms the upper torso of Computron, the combined form of the Technobots.

Like the rest of the gang, he’s tentatively expected to come out sometime in Q3 2026 at the earliest, but a 2027 release might actually make more sense. This would come 40 years after the debut of the Technobots’ original action figures, so completing the new version of Computron at that time is the most logical route. Given the previously-revealed Technobot prototypes from Magic Square Toys, only Afterburner is left. From there, the company may shift gears to their Decepticon rivals, the Terrorcons, or do the same for other, even more obscure Combiner teams.

The Technobots debuted in the third season of The Transformers, which came out after the popularity peak from the time of The Transformers: The Movie. Thus, they’re often forgotten compared to other subgroups, although the 2020s have seen fans usher in a new era of nostalgia for them.
