Get Ready for Frieren Season 3 in Style With These Sick Sukajan Jackets

The Japanese brand AKROS has revealed four new reversible sukajan jackets inspired by Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, with each boasting stunning embroidery and homages to some of the most beloved aspects of the fantasy series. Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe’s manga continues to wow audiences around the world, and its television adaptation quickly shot to the top of MAL’s all-time best anime list following Season 1’s release in 2023. The popularity and incredible staying power of Frieren cannot be understated, and the fantasy series is now widely regarded as one of the greatest of all time.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End began serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday in the midst of the pandemic in 2020, and it quickly became a phenomenon and a way for readers to escape the troubles of the world thanks to its leisurely narrative, comforting fantasy setting, and lovable cast. Its anime adaptation has seen two wildly popular seasons so far, with Season 3 scheduled to hit small screens in October 2027. In the meantime, the manga has sold over 35 million copies to date and has snagged several Japanese honors, such as the Kodansha and Shogakukan manga awards. Currently, Frieren also sits in the coveted top spot on MAL, boasting an impressive overall score of 9.26.

Frieren Is Getting an Unexpected Crossover This Summer

Fans of both Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End and art won’t want to miss a unique crossover coming this summer to a major museum.

AKROS Opens Preorders for Two Reversible Sukajan Jackets Featuring Himmel, Frieren, and Aura

Two new embroidered Frieren-inspired sukajan jackets are now available to preorder on the official AKROS website, with the items set to release in late July. One jacket revolves around Frieren and Himmel, with one side highlighting Frieren’s iconic staff and Himmel the Hero’s sword, and the other depicting the pair as they appear in the anime adaptation. Fans of Aura the Guillotine are also in luck, as a second jacket celebrates the memorable villain. Each of these sturdy unisex jackets will cost ¥32,780 (around $200), and they are available in M, L, XL, and XXL.

This isn’t the only Frieren merchandise on the way, with the series continuing to pop up in new releases and collaborations of all sorts. In early June, the Japanese cosplay and apparel company Cospa revealed tons of new Frieren goods set to release in September, from tote bags and T-shirts to keychains and acrylic mugs. Additionally, Good Smile Company recently announced that the popular DX Edition Frieren figure has been restocked, with preorders now open.

Unfortunately for fans, the Frieren manga is currently on indefinite hiatus. In October 2025, both Yamada and Abe announced that they would be focusing on their health while figuring out the serialization pace of Frieren‘s story going forward, and no return window has yet been confirmed. Thankfully, Season 3 of the anime adaptation is slated to air in October 2027, and fans can look forward to seeing the popular Golden Land Arc brought to life. More information is expected to be revealed at Anime Expo, with a special Frieren event scheduled for July 4.
