Ryobi makes all sorts of power tools in various sizes, but did you know the brand has an entire line of small USB-C rechargeable tools for around the house? Whether you’re short on space or don’t want to buy huge tools, here are some tiny Ryobi tools that are still good enough for big jobs.
A huge part of Ryobi’s success, especially with the DIY crowd, is the constant introduction of new tools in all shapes and sizes at affordable price points. I’ve been buying Ryobi tools for nearly 20 years, but only recently have I started looking for smaller, compact, easier-to-use items for around the house. Whether that’s USB Lithium, 18V ONE+ tools, or something else, here are a few you’ll want to buy.
Ryobi 18V Compact 3-inch Cutoff Wheel
For jobs both big and small
A “compact” tool like the Ryobi 18V Compact Cut-Off Wheel tool isn’t built to be a powerhouse, but that’s what makes it perfect for around the house. Instead, it’s a small, lightweight, compact tool that’s easy to use one-handed. If you buy this particular cut-off tool, know that it might not be all that powerful, even if it’s advertised to cut through thin metal, plastic, tile, drywall, wires, and other projects.
It runs off the same 18V One+ battery you already own, too, which is pretty nice. You don’t have to buy into a new USB Lithium ecosystem if you already own Ryobi tools. So, the next time you need a small cutter tool, consider this one.

Ryobi’s Compact Cut-Off tool is small, but the 19,500 RPM motor can easily cut metal, wood, sheetrock, and much more. There’s even a built-in LED that you’ll love.
Ryobi USB Lithium Glue Gun Kit
A cordless glue gun for all your projects
While Ryobi already has a glue gun or two, the company also offers a compact yet still full-sized glue gun that runs on a USB-C rechargeable battery. I use mine for hanging holiday lights and making various repairs around the house.
This model comes with cordless freedom and the ability to use full-size glue sticks for bigger jobs. That’s a big deal, too, as smaller sticks run out way too fast. The older model was also more of a pen shape, like a Dremel, which isn’t ideal or as ergonomic.
This kit comes with a full-size glue gun, a battery, a charging cable, and two glue sticks. Grab yours today at Home Depot, then use any full-size sticks with it.
Ryobi 18V 6-inch Mini Chainsaw
Cut, prune, and handle small jobs
Having a full-size chainsaw is great, and it’s a tool that certainly has several benefits. However, if you don’t see yourself using a big, loud, gas-powered chainsaw all that much, consider Ryobi’s little 6-inch pruning saw.
While the main selling points of this tool are pruning, shearing, and garden work, it’ll also handle tree limbs, cutting firewood, and other small jobs around your home. It’s a neat little tool that comes with a battery and charger for under $130.
Ryobi 18V GOGOVAC Portable Vacuum
Like a dust buster, but better
Announced earlier this year and released in June, Ryobi’s new tiny portable vacuum is a neat tool everyone can appreciate. Sure, many people already own a large shop vac, but sometimes you want something minimal and portable for cleaning the car, a tent while camping, or carrying around the house.
That’s where the new Ryobi 18V GOGOVAC comes to the rescue. This little guy comes with an extended 4ft hose for cleaning high and low, a crevice tool, and a dedicated pet hair scraper tool.
All of that comes in a tiny package that’s under $80. According to Ryobi, this is a lightweight, compact, easy-to-carry vacuum that still has enough suction to get the job done.
Ryobi USB Lithium Electric Screwdriver Kit
Small home repairs or DIY tasks made easy
You probably own various handheld screwdrivers in Phillips or flathead, but why do all the manual labor and use some elbow grease when you can have a battery do it for you? I’m talking about the small, rotatable, USB Lithium electric screwdriver from Ryobi.
The Ryobi USB Lithium electric screwdriver kit is usually around $85, but it’s often on sale for under $50. Better yet, the kit includes two small USB-C rechargeable Lithium battery packs. It’s great for hanging shelves, putting together IKEA furniture, and other household tasks. And if you want something even smaller, the company has a new MICROTECH 50+ piece precision screwdriver kit coming later this month.
Ryobi 18V High-Pressure Tire Inflator
For cars, bikes, balls, and more
You might not consider a tire inflator a tool, but it helps finish a crucial task we’ve all experienced. Whether you buy this for car tires, bikes, beach balls, or a soccer ball, Ryobi’s high-pressure yet compact tire inflator is up to the task. For the price, it’s a no-brainer.
If you already own a few Ryobi tools and have some battery packs, this becomes a solid option. For only $39, you’ll get a powerful high-pressure tire inflator great for airing up tires and more. It’s small, fits just about anywhere, and is strong enough for most jobs.

Small and affordable tools you’ll enjoy
Tools don’t have to be big to tackle big jobs, and that’s especially true with everything detailed above. Ryobi makes all sorts of smaller USB Lithium tools, like its new Pruning Shears, the HP Compact series, which includes its highly popular HEX impact driver, and much more. Another item you’ll probably like is the USB Lithium Power Cutter for boxes and such.
Whatever you need, there’s a good chance Ryobi offers it at your nearby Home Depot.
