Apex Legends Officially Reveals New Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Crossover Event

The futuristic dystopian worlds of Apex Legends and Cyberpunk 2077 finally collide in the first-ever Cyberpunk: Edgerunners crossover event this July. Apex is giving Cyberpunk fans the chance to explore the infamous Night City ahead of the anime’s long-awaited return to Netflix this year.

Respawn Entertainment, the developers behind Apex Legends, officially revealed its next crossover event for Season 29 of its long-running free-to-play battle royale game. Starting July 14, 2026, Apex players will be able to do battle in a reimagined map of E-District, designed after Cyberpunk‘s futuristic city of sin, Night City. Additionally, players will be able to suit up as their favorite Edgerunner characters with exclusive character and weapon skins, available for a limited time.

Apex Legends x Cyberpunk Event is scheduled to go live on July 14 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 consoles. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the long-awaited anime sequel, will be released exclusively on Netflix later this year.

Apex Legends x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Crossover Event Confirmed for July 14

Night City E-District Map
- Welcome to Night City E-District, where the Outlands have been hacked, and Legends are chroming up! Players can dive into the refreshed E-District map, towering with neon skyboxes, holographic koi drifting through the sky, and glitched-out signage. Jack in, pop a fresh mag into Skippy, and try not to flatline, choom.
Wildcard Event
- Two new Cyberware mods are flooding the streets in Wildcard:
  - Sandevistan is wired for speed, granting quick dashes in any direction. Chain two dashes before touching the ground to close gaps or ghosts out of danger.
  - Blackwall Breach phases you into the Net to reposition, then unleashes a disruptive EMP as you return.
- Additionally, reports of Cyberpsychosis are on the rise:
  - As Cyberware is utilized, Legends’ Cyberware Capacity fills. Redline it and go full Cyberpsycho, gaining high movement speed and devastating melee damage, though no weapons, no abilities, no shields, and no ordnance. Keep your chrome in check or reverse Cyberpsychosis with Immunoblocker Syringes scattered across the map or Immunoblocker Caches that fully reset your meter.
New Skins For Legends & Weapons
- Legends can now hunt down the Mythic Skippy Alternator to activate “Puppy Loving Pacifist” or “Stone Cold Killer” mode, prompting Skippy to share exactly what a monster each player is. Unlock new visuals, ordnance skins, and knock effects by upgrading Skippy with Exotic Shards.
- Earn Eddies throughout the event to spend in the Reward Shop, which includes an Arasaka Epic Valkyrie Skin, a Kang-Tao Epic Mirage Skin, and more.
- Players can upgrade their look with 8 premium Legend Skins for Axle, Sparrow, Lifeline, Crypto, Rampart, Loba, Ash and Gibraltar. Also keep an eye out for fresh iron hitting the streets, with 8 Weapon Skins for the Wingman, Charge Rifle, Mastiff, L-STAR, P2020, RE-45, R-301, and Kraber.

The latest Cyberpunk crossover comes hot on the heels of the Netflix series’ recent collaboration with Wuthering Waves, another free-to-play title available on multiple platforms, but with an open-world sci-fi setting inspired by role-playing action games. The crossover event brought back the fan-favorite cyberwoman, Rebecca, as well as the leading lady, Lucyna “Lucy” Kushinada, in an original story that further explored the anime’s tragic ending with a new, emotionally rewarding epilogue.

Apex Legends is available to download for free as a digital title on multiple gaming platforms, such as Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, mobile and PC. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will launch exclusively on Netflix in the fall 2026 season.
