Round1 Entertainment has officially announced an upcoming collaboration with One Piece, with the beloved series set to take over entertainment complexes in both the US and Japan in July. The Japan-based amusement store chain has been steadily opening locations in the US since the late 2010s, and Round1 has become a go-to stop for friends and families to enjoy everything from bowling and darts to karaoke, ping pong, and video games. The company often collaborates with popular anime and games, and this upcoming One Piece crossover may be its most hyped takeover to date.
Thankfully, the One Piece anime adaptation is back, and stronger than ever after it went on hiatus from January to March 2026. The series has now adopted a two split cours annual schedule, meaning that only 26 episodes will air each year from now on. This has marked a big change, as the anime has had a continuous year-round schedule since the first episode aired in October 1999. Currently, the Elbaph Arc is underway, following the Straw Hat Pirates and the Giant Warrior Pirates as they arrive in Elbaph, while the Holy Knights of God set their sights on annexing the country for the World Government. Those who have been wanting to rewatch the series but feel intimidated by the large amount of filler content have something else to look forward to, as the first trailer for the One Piece anime remake on Netflix was officially revealed last week.
One Piece Is Officially Becoming The Greatest Anime Of All Time After 29 Years
One Piece used to have a subpar anime adaptation, but in February 2027, it will officially become the best anime of all time.
One Piece Coming to Round1 Locations Throughout the US and Japan Starting July 18
Round1 Entertainment has revealed its upcoming One Piece collaboration, which is scheduled to hit over 100 locations in Japan and 59 locations in the US simultaneously starting on July 18, 2026. The crossover, which will run until October 17, will see the release of 27 exclusive pieces of merchandise and prizes featuring newly created artwork, along with a stunning set of 10 original trading cards from the One Piece Card Game. To snag these cards, visitors will need to make qualifying reloads to their Round1 Game Card during the event period. As is often the case with Round1 collabs, participating locations will also include special photo spots, themed crane games, exclusive beverages, and more.
Additionally, a special themed Chopper plush and Gear 5 Luffy figure will appear at certain locations, which will be exclusively available via crane game. Guests who purchase certain drinks or spend a certain amount during their visit will also receive a voucher granting access to purchase exclusive merch, and other giveaways will be held during the event period.
North American One Piece fans have even more to look forward to in 2026, as the first-ever One Piece Fest in the region is set to take place at Cosm Los Angeles from August 25 to August 26, 2026. The event will offer an immersive ‘Elbaph Experience,’ special performances, panels, exclusive merch, and more, with Toei Animation hoping to attract over 7,000 fans to the venue. Notably, Hiroshi Kitadani, the performer of the original theme song “We Are!,” will be in attendance, along with Ian Sinclair and Brina Palencia, the English voice actors behind Brook and Tony Tony Chopper, respectively. Additional guests have yet to be revealed.

The One Piece manga series is also going strong, with author Eiichiro Oda teasing that the ending of Luffy’s journey is fast approaching. Originally hitting the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997, the series has sold over 600 million copies worldwide as of March 2026, making it the best-selling comic series in volume format, as well as the best-selling manga series in history by a landslide.
