Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is a fan favorite franchise that has built its fanbase around a captivating story that blends serious moments with odd and whimsical elements, making it quite a unique watch. The Jojo story, unlike conventional series, follows a new protagonist in every new part, and subsequently focuses on a new cast of characters, and oftentimes, a new setting as well.

In the anime, the latest part to get brought to life is Jojo Part 7, also known as Steel Ball Run. Steel Ball Run Episode 1 was released officially on March 19, 2026, but fans await the return of the series with the Second Stage. While waiting, a new key visual has been revealed for the Second Stage, and new information is expected to be revealed on July 3, 2026.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 7 Prepares For Second Stage Comeback With A New Key Visual

4 Months Later, Jojo Part 7 Finally Receives A New Update

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is a legendary story by Hirohiko Araki. When it comes to Jojo Part 1: Phantom Blood, the manga debuted in Weekly Shōnen Jump issue #1/2 on December 2, 1986. The story is now 40 years old, and yet, it’s still ongoing with Part 9 at the moment. With that being said, when it comes to the anime, it’s a lot more recent. Jojo’s full-fledged anime adaptation by David Production kicked off on October 5, 2012, with Phantom Blood. Subsequent parts would be adapted in the years after, and the most recent adaptation is that of Part 7: Steel Ball Run, which aired its first episode on March 19, 2026. Sadly, nothing else has been released for Jojo since.

Luckily, new promotional content for Steel Ball Run has officially been revealed, following the 47-minute episode in March that covered the First Stage of the race. We now have a key visual for the next stage. This key visual, which was released on June 26, 2026, features 4 important characters for the next Stage. Of course, both Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli are featured front and center, but we also see Diego Brando in the back. A new character is also highlighted, and it is one that anime-only fans aren’t too familiar with, called Mountain Tim. Mountain Tim is going to have a huge role to fulfill in the Second Stage, and he will be one of the first Stand Users to make a move.

Jojo revealing a new Key Visual for Part 7 is a good sign, telling us that something new is about to be revealed concerning Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, after the anime’s odd hiatus following the first episode. We already know that the series is about to be featured on July 3, 2026, as a part of the Anime Expo 2026. This was confirmed by the official Jojo account today, on June 27, 2026.

It has also been officially confirmed that the event is starting at 12:30 local time in Los Angeles, and that the location will be Crypto.com Arena. Only fans present at Anime Expo will be able to see the announcement, as no live streaming will be made.

Composer Yugo Kanno will be there, as well as English voice actors for Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli, Daman Mills, and Kaiji Tang. With Anime Expo approaching fast, we’re all sure that, finally, after a long wait, we will have more information concerning the Second Stage of Jojo Part 7. That said, what we’re all wondering is when the next episode is coming out. Jojo Part 7 has proven to have a very bizarre release schedule — one that many would describe as even worse than Jojo Part 6. Still, we’re waiting for its return and the continuation of the newly started story of Johnny and Gyro.

We already know, based on a confirmation via Netflix, that Jojo’s next stage is coming in fall 2026. While we don’t know the release date yet, we expect the release month to be unveiled to us during Anime Expo 2026. We could also finally learn how many episodes Stage 2 will have, which has been a major question fans have had concerning the new anime. Unlike the First Stage, the second stage will drop with multiple episodes, which is a relief.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Stellar Ball Run is available to watch on Netflix.
