Since Jujutsu Kaisen‘s Season 2 finale, anime fans have been forced to cope with the absence of fan-favorite icon, Satoru Gojo. However, a popular RPG is partnering with studio MAPPA’s iconic shonen series to officially revive Gojo before the release of Culling Game: Part 2.
Per Jujutsu Kaisen‘s official Japanese site, the iOS and Android title Monster Strike recently announced its third official collaboration with the Jujutsu Kaisen anime. Initially released in October 2013, Monster Strike is a strategy-based puzzle game in which players collect and “flick” monsters — both humanoid and non-humanoid — onto a playing field, allowing them to battle other monsters to earn gold and treasure.
While the game had a short-lived run in North America, it currently boasts approximately 3.6 million active players in Japan alone. Starting July 14, 2026, a new update will introduce several new characters and battle forms featured in Jujutsu Kaisen: Culling Game Part 1 to the lineup. Gojo Returns With Yuji, Nanami & More in New JJK x Monster Strike Crossover
For this collaboration, Monster Strike is introducing a brand-new “collaboration quest” and special gacha events that feature Season 3 characters such as Panda, Fumihiko Takaba, Hishiro Kanmi, Maki Zenin, Kyoko Uro, Reggie Star, Korozori, and the jujutsu sorcery duo Hanyu and Haba. Additionally, the game is treating existing characters to special “beast transformations” that significantly increase their power levels on the battlefield.
Jujutsu Kaisen protagonist Yuji Itadori, as well as Kento Nanami and Satoru Gojo, were originally introduced in the franchise’s first official Monster Strike collaboration. However, these characters will now be able to unlock their “true beastification” forms in gameplay for the first time. For a limited time, these three gacha items will have increased drop rates, giving fans a significantly higher chance to score the new forms for their squadrons.
Much of the content in this collaboration will be accessible via the Monster Strike Web Shop, where players can purchase in-game items such as orbs and gacha pulls for special characters. Currently, the Jujutsu Kaisen crew has been split across three individual gacha sets, each of which provides players 10 chances to earn three different JJK characters. At the time of this writing, the sets are available for 7,800 yen (roughly US$48).
Two additional characters — Kinji Hakari and Kirara Hoshi — are also available exclusively with the third collaboration starter pack. In Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, Hakari and Hoshi co-manage the Gachinko Fight Club in the heart of Tochigi Prefecture during the Culling Game. After being approached by Yuji, both sorcerers agree to help their fellow Jujutsu High students make it out of the death game alive. Kenjaku, the twisted puppetmaster behind the Culling Game, will also be accessible as a reward for completing missions.
Jujutsu Kaisen Culling Game: Part 2 is currently in production at MAPPA. However, the studio has not yet set a release window for the anime. In the meantime, the JJK anime series is streaming on several major platforms, including Hulu, Netflix and Crunchyroll. Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen manga and its sequel, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, are both available in English from VIZ Media.
