How long have you been an Xbox gamer? One of the coolest parts of being a part of Microsoft’s gaming ecosystem is that things are very rarely deprecated. Stuff like your gamer score and your library of older games comes with you even if you started with the original Xbox, meaning all your memories are nicely stored away in one place.
To celebrate Xbox’s 25th anniversary, the website TrueAchievements has rolled out a new tool that summarizes your 25 years with Xbox. So, if you’ve been a fan since the early days, it’s a lovely walk down memory lane.
When did you start your Xbox adventure?
As spotted by Windows Central, the TrueAchievements #Xbox25 tool gives you a deep dive into your Gamertag and shows you all your milestones from today back to when the Xbox first launched. If you want to see your own digest, head over to the TrueAchievements website and log in.
It’s worth noting that if this is your first time registering for TrueAchievements, you may need to adjust your Xbox profile’s privacy settings to allow the website to access all your data. If you’re trying to sign up, and you’ve checked all the boxes and your Gamertag looks good, but it’s not letting you continue, double-check to see if it’s complaining about privacy options. If it is, follow this guide to give the website access.
Once the website downloads your data, you’ll get a full feed of all your major milestones. It turns out, my first-ever achievement was in 2009 in Fallout 3, on Games for Windows Live (remember that?). The 25th achievement was in Batman: Arkham Asylum in the same year. What can I say? 2009-me had exquisite taste.
I revisited the Xbox 360’s Metro-style dashboard in 2026 — and it felt more modern than I expected
DashX360 isn’t a very functional launcher, but it sure is nostalgic.
