Hulu has been a major hub for anime ever since it partnered with Funimation back in 2018. After Funimation was permanently spirited away by Crunchyroll in 2024, the future of the Hulu app began to look rocky, especially with its recent merger into Disney+ in 2025.
Nonetheless, Hulu remains a go-to streaming service to watch anime’s most acclaimed classics, such as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Naruto. Now, Hulu is coming in hot this July with eight major releases. The most popular anime series this year, like Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 as well as FMA’s official successor, Daemons of the Shadow Realm, will soon premiere in Hulu’s catalog.

Fans of action comedies featuring folks with superhuman abilities will be delighted with the complete second season of Mission: Yozakura Family. Hulu also caters to isekai lovers with Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation. Those who crave a bloodier fantasy full of good laughs will be given Studio MAPPA’s adaptation of Dorohedoro, the second season of which just finished airing this past May.
One of MAPPA’s biggest ongoing series — a big name in the “Dark Trio” of shonen — is Jujutsu Kaisen. The series continues to be a massive hit among anime fans both domestically and internationally, especially with the conclusion of its third season. The entirety of JJK Season 3 will be made available alongside a fresh modern fantasy that straddles the list of Crunchyroll’s top titles of Spring 2026.
From Hiromu Arakawa — creator of the all-time anime classic Fullmetal Alchemist — Daemons of the Shadow Realm is undoubtedly one of the year’s biggest new shonen series. Hulu will have the first full cour in both the original Japanese version and English dubbed in early July. The series is likewise heading to Netflix this July.
The only uncompleted cour or season of anime that Hulu is dropping this summer is Though I Am an Inept Villainess — a completely new series from TOHO Animation, featuring a heroine with a wit and charm not unlike that of Maomao from The Apothecary Diaries. Its Season 1 premiere will debut on the platform on July 12, with episodes presumably releasing weekly thereafter.
