Notes & Troubleshooting
1. Computer System Version Compatibility
Please note that our software only supports Windows 11 and macOS 11.0 or later. Computers running an older operating system may fail to connect to the device or experience functional malfunctions.
2. Software Installation Issues
VSD Stream Dock operates on the basis of a macro and LCD icon visualization application. It enables you to assign complex shortcut commands or multi-step operation instructions to a single LCD key or knob profile, with all commands activated via a single click. This process involves simulating and inputting keyboard commands, as well as prompting your computer’s operating system and installed applications to operate corresponding instructions. As such, the software requires specific permissions to run properly, including keyboard read/write access and system command operate & retrieval permissions.
For macOS users:
Follow the installation instructions in the user manual to complete all required permission authorizations in advance before setting up and using the device.
For Windows users:
The software’s runtime permissions may trigger false positive security alerts from your antivirus program. This can result in abnormal interception of the VSDinside official download page, invalid download links, or accidental deletion of critical software files post-installation – all of which will cause the software to malfunction.
Solution:
Temporarily disable your antivirus software, then re-download and reinstall the software. Once installed, add VSD Craft to your antivirus program’s whitelist.
Software Security Statement
Our software is signed with an official Microsoft digital certificate and has passed security audits and certifications from over 150 leading antivirus programs worldwide. It has also cleared the Steam Store’s security review, and will be available for download on the Steam Store in the coming months.VSD Craft is 100% virus-free and does not collect or transmit any of your personal data. All software files, logs and related data are stored locally only on your personal computer.
If you receive a security alert from your antivirus software, you can reach out to us to verify the issue and provide the name of your antivirus provider. We will coordinate directly with the provider to complete additional security validation for our software. You also have the option to request a device free return, and we will cover all associated additional costs incurred from this process.
3. USB Connection & Stability Issues
Connect the device directly to a rear USB port on your computer’s main unit using the included USB cable, and ensure the cable is securely plugged into the device’s dedicated power port.
Using a USB hub, connecting to a front USB port on your computer, or plugging the device into a USB port on your monitor will likely lead to insufficient power supply, which will cause the device to malfunction.
If a USB hub is absolutely necessary, ensure you use a powered USB hub with high-performance data transfer capabilities.
