Bleach fans have another major anniversary celebration to look forward to this month. Bleach: Brave Souls has officially announced its 11th-anniversary “Bankai” livestream, bringing together the voices behind some of the series’ most iconic characters for a showcase featuring new game updates, gameplay demonstrations and never-before-seen announcements.
Official game developer and publisher KLab confirmed that the special livestream will air on July 20 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. JST, with original voice actors Masakazu Morita (Ichigo Kurosaki), Noriaki Sugiyama (Uryu Ishida), Yuki Matsuoka (Orihime Inoue), Ryotaro Okiayu (Byakuya Kuchiki) and Mitsuaki Madono (Kon) all appearing as guests.
The event will be hosted by comedian Yoshiyuki Hirai of the comedy duo America Zarigani, alongside former Up Up Girls (Kari) idol Azusa Sekine. The broadcast will feature gameplay segments, previews of new features, the return of the fan-favorite “Word Wolf Returns,” co-op Time Attack, the latest Bleach news and previously unannounced reveals.
Bleach: Brave Souls Reveals Its Mystery 11th Anniversary Character in Bankai Livestream
The livestream arrives as Bleach: Brave Souls celebrates its 11th anniversary. Originally released for mobile devices in 2015 in Japan and worldwide in 2016, the free-to-play 3D action RPG has grown into one of the franchise’s longest-running projects, later expanding to Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
Over the years, the game has become known for its annual anniversary celebrations, which frequently introduce new playable characters, gameplay updates, community events and free in-game rewards. The July 20 presentation also serves as the culmination of several anniversary campaigns launched in recent weeks.
Most recently, KLab challenged fans to identify the game’s upcoming 11th anniversary character by analyzing a teaser video and submitting their predictions across X (formerly Twitter), Instagram and Discord for a chance to win exclusive Brave Souls merchandise. The mystery character’s identity is set to be revealed during the Bankai livestream, making it one of the event’s biggest anticipated announcements.
Alongside the broadcast, KLab is launching several additional community campaigns through the game’s official X account. Fans who repost the official livestream announcement between July 20 and July 27 will be entered into a giveaway for anniversary prizes, with 20 winners selected at random.
Another campaign invites viewers to post messages using the hashtag “#生放送で卍解,” with selected comments read aloud by the guest cast during the livestream. Those chosen will receive an original Brave Souls acrylic stand featuring Kon in his 10th anniversary outfit.
The livestream will also feature a community YouTube quiz based on the broadcast itself. If viewers watching the Japanese and English streams collectively answer more questions correctly than incorrectly, every player will receive one 5-Star Guaranteed Summons Ticket as an in-game reward.
The Bleach: Brave Souls 11th anniversary Bankai livestream is scheduled to air on July 20 at 7 p.m. JST through the game’s official Japanese and global YouTube channels.
